UltraSurge.com Review
->
I don’t enjoy writing this report, but can’t help it. If you are coming here for a web hosting service review, you got the bad one, it’s UltraSurge.com. I don’t mind giving it a free link.
Don’t get cornered with cheap web hosting offers because there are rare things such as cheap and reliable. Cheap web hosting just not worth the downtime you will face, and bad customer service you are going to have.
1 year ago, I subscribed to the service at UltraSurge and after few weeks decided not to use it due to the slow connection and downtime. But my bad, I never send them any service termination request. I gave up the service and never mentioned about money back.
But 2 days back, I received a confirmation email from WebServicesBilling.com a.k.a billing [at]sslcatacomb.com;
This email is to notify you that payment for your web hosting account has been received. Your account balance is $0.00. The name that will appear on your credit card statement will be WebServices or WebServicesBilling.com.An invoice for your records is attached. Thank you for your business - we appreciate it very much.
Billing Services
to which I responded asking them to stop billing me and negotiate for a refund. I know about the no refund policies… but did I mentioned the negotiation? I had once visited webservicesbilling.com for a complaint, but they request me to give a credit card number. I doubt the security there and did not proceed.
So I received another reply;
Hello,
http://www.ultras...urge.com/policy.html
“All payments are final and nonrefundable!”
http://www.ultras...urge.com/policy.html
“Credit/debit cards will be charged automatically each payment term until a proper request for cancellation is received.”
http://www.ultras...urge.com/policy.html
“Account Cancellation: All account cancellation requests must be sent to sales[at]ultrasurge.com and include the following information:1. domain name
2. ftp password
3. reason for cancellation
4. desire date of cancellation
5. last 4 digits of the credit/debit card used to pay (use postal code if paid by e-check)A cancellation confirmation e-mail will be sent to the primary e-mail address on the account. Subscriber’s account cancellation is not complete unless Subscriber receives a confirmation e-mail with a cancellation code. A cancellation code can only be generated if the billing information for the Subscriber has been removed from our system.”
In order to not be charged again next year, simply cancel your account as agreed upon.
And another one email;
Hello,
As stated in the policy You Agreed Upon, if you submit a chargeback your account will be turned over for collections in the amount of the chargeback, 10% annual finance charge, $100 chargeback fee, plus court cost. You agreed to a policy. Follow through with what you agreed upon. If you don’t want your web hosting account, simply cancel it like you agreed to do. There will be no refund. You needed to cancel your account before the start of the next payment term as agreed upon.
It’s all gone just like that, so my so called negotiation was over
I did not wait too long to issue another email for service termination and later have the confirmation email from them;
Domain: xxxxx.com
Cancellation Confirmation: xxxxxxxxx
Additional Comments:
Cancel request appears to have come from an authorized source.If you should ever choose to come back to us, we will waive the setup fees on any shared web hosting plan.
Come back huh? You still owe me 1 year hosting service remember? NO, thanks.

I had a similar experience. The kid who runs the site sounds like a real piece of shit who needs to get the shit kicked out of him.

Please forgive my english, but it is not my native language. And so, I’m not sure I have understood everything you wrote. But I’d like to know something.
Is WebServicesBilling.com a kind of fraud service ? Because I had an automatic deduction from it on my bank account. And if it is not such a $100 but a €15 charge, it is still very unpleasant to lose money from someone unknown. I never heard about WebServicesBilling.com and I’m quite sure not to own any web site. So, I never need any web hosting service… And of course, I fear this to be repeated in the future. How may I stop that ?
And who are WebServicesBilling.com ???
Thanks for any information.

How on earth do you have the right to complain about this? The hosting company isn’t a mindreader, and you didn’t follow their terms of service and cancel before they billed you. The hosting company I run, and every other one I know of, has the same policy, and for good reason. Quit yer bitchin’.

Hi Josh,
Thanks for your feedback. I remember writing about the opportunity for a negotiation just few hours after the billing was executed. If that company was not looking for easy money, I don’t see any difficulties for them to undo the charges. I did not expect them to know my intention from mindreading.
Btw, are you from Ultra Surge?
