Tag Lesson #1
Being really new with blogging world, sometime I just cannot understand some “jargons” (my Kota Baharu friend say it as “jagung”), used by people referring to some technical things of blogging.
A friend just called me yesterday asking about “what are tags used for?” to which I replied generally saying it might be referring to categories of posts. But I know there must be something with technorati tags. Tags things can be found anywhere, and during my search in wp-plugins for cool hacks, I always found people submission about “technorati tags with wordpress” in which I did not have any clever ideas about it.
So today I make a quick reference to http://www.technora...i.com/help/tags.html and found some useful information about it. Yes, tags can be referred as categories. And people always talk about technorati tags because technorati can get your web listed in the recently updated blog according to the tags (or category) that you have specified in your blog.
I had my post http://mightyhitter...b-on-technorati.html just before I read that help file and I want to know if I understand it correctly. So I browse http://www.technora....com/tags/wordpress/ and found my post listed in it. Wah? So fast, in few minutes only. Or maybe it’s because I’m not using the pingomatic ping service but have it ping to technorati directly?
