Prepaid Reload/Top-up Scam
This is unconfirmed news that I heard from some friends.
Have you come across a small business opportunity for buying bulk prepaid reload with a lower price? More often it is the RM10 prepaid reload since it’s highly demanded by end users. So some dealers will offer you the prepaid reload at a fairly low price, say RM9.50, and you will reap the 10 or 20 cents profit easily (no phone shopkeepers will take the reload at RM10, they need a margin for their business too). The process of buying reload at low price and resell is repeated quite few times in a month resulting in an impressive ROI (return on investment).
For example, with RM1000 startup cost, assuming the reload is resell at RM9.60, you can easily get RM133.10 after 4 times of the buy-and-resell process. That is an impressive 10% compounding ROI.
Later, the business is getting real busy and the dealers talk about not enough supply of reload. The game is now begin. The dealers will require you to give an advance cash payment for a longer waiting period of 2 or 3 weeks. So now from 4 times in a month, the business cycle is narrowed down to 2. Your profit is getting smaller.
Small profit is fine, as long as it’s a profit. But human is greedy creature, that’s us! The idea of “no need to sell” will be fired up to the air so a new perception will be created such as “we don’t need to sell, but the dealers will”. The dealers now become the runners of all. They will supply the prepaid, and they will resell it for you. Or in better thought, the dealers will need your money so they can bargain for cheaper price from their upper dealers.
The game is fair though, they will pick your deposit with a written agreement. You will feel safe and guaranteed. 10% ROI per month with you doing nothing, it’s 10 times better than ASB!
But you can guess the ending. You get paid for few months, about 30-40%, and the rest is pending. It’s just exactly as any other scam games on the internet, but the stake is bigger when trust is there. People will burn their hard earned savings for this game, and the master planners are accumulating millions of money.
