Let’s blog, make it WP
If you think to give blogging a try, let’s do it with Wordpress. Why Wordpress? You have total control over it and you decide what you want.
1. Get yourself a domain name, make it as good as yourname.com.
2. Rent space, cheap webhosting nowdays vary from $0.50/month to $5.00/month. Pick one.
3. Download a copy of latest Wordpress at http://wordpress.org/download/
4. Install it in 5 minutes.
5. Optionally add some nice plugins for more fun stuff, such as MightyAdsense.
And you’re done.

I recommend DreamHost to all my friends, because the price is great for the amount of disk space and bandwidth that you get and they have one click installs for WordPress, phpBB, MediaWiki, WebCalendar, Joomla, and more. And when I’ve had problems, the customer service has been great.
