Jutawan Adbrite: Stealing Someone’s Money
->
Foremostly, I must admit that I’m writing this for an awareness and not to condemn anyone trying to make money out of ‘free’ things like a so-called Jutawan Adbrite.
To understand the whole issue, let me define the parties involved in this scheme - direct or indirectly.
Adbrite (www.adbrite.com):
It is a legal advertisement network started by Philip Kaplan and Gidon Wise in 2002, where publishers/webmasters are selling their ads space to potential buyers.
Advertisers:
They have the opportunity to get an ads exposure to millions of audience over the internet when thousands of websites are ready to take their ads online. They pay in order for their ads to reach real potential buyers.
Publishers/Webmasters:
They are selling ads space. The ads can be placed directly on their site or being served by targetted keyword, site, or geography. These guys are getting paid for bringing potential buyers for the advertisers.
Jutawan Adbrite:
Another independent group promoting MLM approach in Adbrite. The objective of these group is focused on how to get consistent ads clicks and big page views, so they will get paid more.
Enough with the introduction.
Jutawan Adbrite concept suggests an old MLM approach in ads serving community. It provide their members with a replicated web page where publisher can put their Adbrite code on it. The replicated web page also contains Adbrite code of those joining the network prior to that. Logically, if a member namely as Terry invite 10 people to do the same, and that 10 friend’s of Terry invite another 10 people, and so on until the 6th level of them, Terry on paper will manage to get 1,111,111 hits so easily, until Terry’s ads code automatically abandoned on the 7th level. I’m not fully agree with the daily projection of hits and earning of US$555.55 to be this much, but that’s another issue, let it alone with the figures.
But what I’m trying to say is, the whole concept of Jutawan Adbrite seems to be lack in sensitivity for the advertisers. Advertisers here are those unlucky person paying for the invalid clicks grenerated via Jutawan Adbrite team work. Why unlucky advertisers? Because they are paying for nothing. There are no real potential buyers in this case. It’s all faked out to be true. I bet not even few of those who click the ads may have the intention to buy anything from the Ads, except they are doing it because someone tell them to click. Quoted from Jutawan Adrbrite page:
Iklan Adbrite Peserta Program Jutawan Adbrite!
Pendapatan dijana melalui iklan dibawah ini. Anda hanya perlu klik pada link dibawah ini untuk menjana pendapatan!
Translated;
Participant’s Ads of Jutawan Adbrite Scheme!
The income is generated by advertisement below. You just need to click on the following links to make money!
Smell something fishy? Yes it is. Advertisers are putting their ads for potential buyers, not for self clicking publishers. Will the advertisers be willing to pay if they know those people who are in Jutawan Adbrite whose clicking for money?
Sadly, the whole concept with it is just far away from the initial idea of any advertising network: to serve the ads to any genuinely interested potential buyers.
Will Malaysians, again, be banned from Adbrite for this just as lame as what had happened to us with Clickbanks?

Hi MightyHitter,
That’s the risk of Pay Per Click advertising, I supposed.
I heard that soon there will be a kind of Pay Per Lead or Pay per sale advertising not long ago. I don’t what become of that idea.

this man is ’stealing’ money on our table..:(
January 25th, 2007 at 6:25 am
It’s obviously “stealing”.
How I came across your blog?
I’ve a seasoned internet marketer for years since my
retirement in 2001. And I’m a Malaysian from Penang.
You know what ? One of my US associates sent me the “Jutawan” website expected me to join them to “steal”!
I searched Google on this subject and landed right onto
your site.
Totally agree with you. PPC click frauds are a serious
problem. I personally avoid Adsense. I even almost completely stop using Adwords. Worst click frauds come from India–someone there told me that Google de-activated 1,000’s Adsense accounts.
Very unfortunate it happens in Malaysia. I’m sure, pretty soon Adbrite will take Malaysia out.
Why ClickBank refuses to accept Malaysia ? Otherwise
our fellow Malaysians (the honest ones, I mean)would
have much more opportunities online.
The future lies with Agloco ( I hope ), revolutionary.
In fact it should be called “The Internet Economic
Revolution”. In “Beta” since Nov 22 2006 (the day I joined the revolution after a call from the Silicon
Valley, California). Many of our fellow Malaysians
are in already. Take a good look at it, you should do
very well with your experience (from my reading of your
posts, good jobs really).

Thanks Chee for your comment. I’m sure to take a closer look at your suggested program.

I’m not sure if you have already read about Agloco.
There isn’t any reason for a person with such extensive
online experience as yourself to miss out on this one.
Great honest opportiunity does come around once in a while
but not many. Trust me, am 58 an have gone through a lot
about life and corporate business.
This type of business is ideal for the younger generation.
Even an old hag like myself still believe in it. Why ?
Simple, Internet rules the future ! I do think Malaysians have yet to catch up. People like you and
me have a role to play—recommend good, honest online
opprtunities to other fellow Malaysians as much as possible.
Agloco should be the “Biggest Affiliate” for ALL BIG ONLINE SHOPPING OUTFITS SOON—examples…Amazon.com,
Commission Junction (CJ), ClickBank, Air Lines, Insurance Companies, Banks, etc, just about anything
online, Agloco will have its huge influence.
“Viewbars” will come out of Beta End/Feb or March 2007.
We’re now building up our network like crazy.
Read this eMarketer Report (3 days old ) to see the
trend of “online shopping” :
eMarketer Article-78% European Internet Users Shop Online
BTW, be prepared to see a big “shake-up” of pay per click advertising between now and early 2008. Advertisers CAN’T tolerate the extent of click frauds
anymore.
Have a nice day.

I really agreed with you. Why Malaysian always thinking about getting money the easy way. In Swiss Cash and Dinar Iraq case, there were many Malaysian who belive this stupid invesment. I think maybe Malaysian will never change thier habbits for ever!!!

Fazrul, I think it’s due to the attitude. We were told about the good and the bad from our baby times, but when it comes to money matters, everything suddenly changes and being acceptable.
January 30th, 2007 at 8:24 pm
i think.. if you cannot beat them..join them. many of us been rip off through the internet. so it is time to pay back. ahahaha
January 30th, 2007 at 8:42 pm
saya setuju.
keje klik iklan sendiri ni mcm menipu duit org. kita dpt duit tu sebab sendiri klik. bukan dr “genuine” surfers….. nanti tak berkat duit tuuuuuu…percayalahhhhh… keje2 menipu ni mmg bleh buat duit ribu riban.. tapi KEBERKATANNYA? sendiri mahu ingat da…..
January 30th, 2007 at 9:19 pm
Thanks Sunduvan, that’s another point of view.
Pokude, I have the same thing in mind.
January 31st, 2007 at 12:34 am
i think sunduvan tu bukan islam kot.. heheh that’s why he said like that. cth, dah alang2 kita kena rompak. so apa kata kita rompak org lain pulak? hehhehe still perbuatan merompak kita tu adalah salah, dr segi hukum alam, hukum civil, dan hukum agama dan hukum etc. as fazrul mention “but when it comes to money matters, everything suddenly changes and being acceptable.” when it comes to money matters, hal2 agama tolak tepi…. hehehehe.. fikir fikirkan..

I would heartily agree with you, mightyhitter. Time to make changes in opportunists attitudes I guess. Spread the word!

Guys, you might like to see this! This may point directly that Jutawan AdBrite is lying! Check This link
http://flickr.com/photos/69902628@N00/174371489/
and compare it with the cheque picture in the Jutawan AdBrite Website at
http://jutawan-adbrite.eracash.com/
They are identical (cheque number, background, etc) except for the amount of money printed.
February 4th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
ha ha ha.. kantoiiii….
February 5th, 2007 at 3:53 pm
There is one thing I want to put forward here. First, Even if the picture is identical, it doesn’t mean that the flickr account owner is the culprit. I have checked his profile and found that he is actually a british photographer currently working in Malaysia. He even has two blogs at http://www.digisniper.com/ and http://www.shaolintiger.com/ . And his blog is professionally designed, google pagerank is good and he did has income from adbrite from his shaolintiger.com but dropped it because he doesn’t like it. read it here: http://www.shaolint…cheque-from-adbrite/ . And one more thing; pudjam666 that post a comment on his flickr adbrite cheque is the Adbrite.com founder; Philip J. Kaplan (nickname pud). That is a bad news for a bad buy. hehe…. Anyway, sorry for making this long post. I just don’t want any malaysian to “stab” that poor guy without knowing everything. I don’t want to be sued. I hope you don’t too… Just a reminder.
February 5th, 2007 at 6:29 pm
Thanks Alex for the explanation.
February 8th, 2007 at 4:43 am
Hi Alex, thanks for clarifying my position.
Yes the image used was one taken by me, but no I am not involved in this.
The have used my picture and photoshopped it so the amount is different.
I did stop using Adbrite due to the small payout, I tried Adsense after that and have also stopped using it.
Now I just blog

Hi ShaolinTiger welcome to my blog!
February 15th, 2007 at 9:58 pm
i just dont get it? anyone(even those who click for cash) who click the ad will see the ad, thats what the advertiser wants with ppc and of course they aware of the chance that people will just click their ad for money. what if i(or anyone) click on all adsense/adbrite ad at someone’s page but not even pay attention on the ad, did i steal any money? if i did then the man who own that page will get a bad money just for showing adsense/adbrite ad?
February 16th, 2007 at 1:16 am
hi isnotdead,
thanks for your comment. PPC is not meant for ‘clicking for money’. PPC is pay-per-click from the perspective of publishers (webmasters). it should not be taken as visitors to be paid for clicking the ads; that’s where the confusion is to many. the geuine idea is people to click ads with the intention to buy product/services or at least to know more details about it. publishers in any ways should not encourage people to click on the ads. the real issue with jutawan adbrite is, the publishers (people who join the network & have their ads code embedded in that page) are encouraging people to click on the ads and getting paid on the expense of advertisers.
