Block spammer bots at your blog with MightySpamBlocker 2.0
->
I’m getting tired with spam comments submitted by spammer bots! And today, I decided to upgrade the anti-spam wordpress plugin which I wrote earlier (MightySpamBlocker 1.0) into another level of protection.
Problem with old versin;
1. It scan comments based on predefined bad words. If none found, then it will pass the comments through. The problem is that I need to update my bad words database everyday. Tidious!
2. It doesn’t know is it the bot or human who are sending the comment.
Solution;
1. Version 2.0 does not need any bad words database anymore. No filtering.
2. There will be “turing number” concept for each comment. The main point is, I want only human to submit the comments. If the spammer are bots, they will never pass the first test (password challenge). If they are human spammer, they will never pass the moderation que as well.
I would expect half of my problem solved by using this plugin. You know how bad it is to select good comments among hundreds of spam comments everyday, right?
These are the screen capture of the MightSpamBlocker 2.0 in action;

Above is the example of comment form. Visitor need to enter the password to complete comment submission.

Above is how MightySpamBlocker looks like in your Options page. Password is updateble and SPAMs can be deleted or restored as aprroved comments (just in case).

Checked comments can be delete, or if you are tired about checking all of them..just delete all those listed.

Or maybe you want to approve some of them, or to delete all those SPAMs in your database.
The plugin now is downloadable here.
