After the tags, what can you do next with technorati?
You got your web listed with technorati now (hooray). Then it’s about to claim the blog as yours. You know it is, but technorati need to verify the owner so that you are not mistakenly claim someone else blog.
First thing to do is to signup with technorati and provide your info such as name & email. Then technorati will ask you if you are claiming a blog, tick the check box. Then proceed to the next step.
Then it you are using wordpress (thank god), there is a quick claim method available. They want to know your username and password, but it it will not be stored, just for the verification purpose. No way? Okay nobody want your password, skip the process to the next step and begin with manual verification. Technorati will provide you a javascript thing such as:

You need to put this code into your blog page, in wordpress case, you can put it at sidebar. The reason is technorati soon will load your page using their software and if they found the script in it, they can confirm that the blog is yours.
After you have modified the sidebar template, save it, and just proceed with next step at technorati signup page. Wait for few minutes until the page is loaded (now technorati is reading your page to see if there is the embedded script).
If it is found, then it will congratulate you for completing the signup task. Now you have claimed the blog.
Next you can start updating your profile, brief biography, pictures etc the account page. Put a picture to your profile so that you can see your cute little pic next to your blog in the updated blog at technorati.
