10 Things What Malaysians Are Doing Online
I was trying to figure out what can I do with catfx50 strategy and tring to translate to an EA, but as usual, nothing comes easy. So while looking for more ideas, I came across Alexa ranking and I did checked out on the Top 100 websites visited by Malaysians. So what are we doing online all this while?
1. It’s yahoo.com on the #1 list and Google.com on the fourth and fifth, so searching is the first thing to do when you get online. Searching for what? Well it’s not in the list.
2. Friendster.com & Myspace.com - wow looks like we are really in the mood of getting know to each other. Checkout on friends, girls & boys. Teens? I guess so.
3. Entertainment, watch for videos, MP3 - youtube.com & baidu.com.
4. Searching for jobs - jobstreet.com.
5. Getting fresh news with thestar.com.my, utusan.com.my or hmetro.com.my.
6. Sell and buy with better price - lelong.com.my, lowyat.net & ebay.com.my.
7. Online banking - maybank2u.com.my.
8. Travel ? Airasia.com.
9. Sharing files/pictures - megaupload.com, photobucket.com and rapidshare.com.
10. Blogging - blogger.com & livejournal.com.
From the top 100 pages, there is MMU on #52 and UKM on #99. Can it be translated to an info saying a big portion of internet users are university students?
